Google posts
Google Business Profile posts on a schedule
One to five posts a week, written for your trade and your city, on your own photos, published without you touching anything.
How it works
Step by step
- 1
You choose the rhythm
Posts a week, which days, what time, and in which language. Everything else follows from that.
- 2
A plan is drawn up two weeks ahead
Each slot gets a theme and a target search phrase before anything is written, and you can see and change the plan in advance.
- 3
The post is written shortly before it goes out
So it can mention what is current. The copy leads with the important part, because Google truncates the preview at around 250 characters.
- 4
Your photo is used first
Your uploaded photos come first, then a designed version of one for a festival or offer, then a restyle. Fully AI-generated images are a last resort you can switch off.
- 5
It publishes, retries and logs
If Google rejects it, we retry with backoff and record every attempt so a failure is never silent.
What you control
- One to five posts a week
- Which days and what time, in your timezone
- Full auto, or show me each post before it goes live
- How long before a slot you want to review it
- What happens if you do not respond in time
- Which themes to rotate: tips, offers, festivals, announcements, customer stories
- Dates to skip, like when you are closed
What it will not do
- We never put a phone number in the post text, because Google prohibits it. We attach a Call button instead.
- We never publish a post without an image, unless you specifically allow it.
Questions
About google posts
- How many posts should I publish?
- Two to three a week is the sweet spot in every study we have read, and consistency matters more than volume. Above three, returns fall off quickly.
- How long do posts stay on my listing?
- Update posts stay visible about six months and then move behind a link. Offer and event posts stay until their end date, which is why we use those types when they fit.
- Do posts make me rank higher?
- Not directly, and anyone promising that is guessing. Posts keep your listing active and earn clicks, calls and direction requests, and those engagement signals do matter. We would rather tell you that than sell you a myth.
